Ok we are just upgrading to 2008 and I opened a project in 9.1.  Looked at our saved 3D View.  Then opened it in Revit 2008, SAME EXACT FILE.  No saves or anything, just opened and looked at the same view.  Everything is way darker and when we print it, it shows as almost black.  Why is this and how can I fix it?  Take a look at the image it shows what i'm talking about.  Thanks,

Lorne

you've probably already done this, but the only thing i can think of is to check the default setting for the sun and shadow info.

Yup.  They are both exactly set to the right longitude and latitude.  And Shadows are off.

Are these just shaded with edges and no shadows?

If you have shadows on, you can adjust the intensity under advanced model graphics (shadow icon).

yes, they are Shading with Edges and sun shadows is turned off.  I tuned shadows on and changed intensity...but the floor still is too dark.  I think I have to change the color of the material.  But in the normal 3D orbit view it is the correct color.  But for some reason with camera views, everything gets dark.  It's not like this in 9.1...I don't get it.

So I changed my material to a waaaay lighter color...and that one spot is still almost black.  Maybe it's the camera angle??

I figured out the slab.  The driveway on the left was a 'slab'.  Then slab under the roof ws a 'pad' in the topo model.  So for some reason the 'pad' shows up dark.  Although they only show dark in the 3D camera views.  They were both the same material.

As for the darkness on the left side of the image by the screened porch??  I have no idea.
