Is it possible to use revision letters instead of numbers? Weare using Revit Structure 2008. I have found some workarounds for this problem on this forum, but they are dated back to 2005-2006. I was looking for something newer.

The answer is still no. We too use Letters and not numbers so we've resorted to workarounds! JB

The only thing that I've found that works is to include the "Issued To" category in the Revision Schedule on the titleblock. This is a field that is available in the Revisions dialogue and it's not restricted to numeric entries. This may be the work around you were talking about but I just thought I'd throw it there for future searchers. The problem with this begins when you have a common template for the whole company since some people are better with Revit than others and you have to make sure everyone is aware of the cheat method. Somewhere in the program files, there must be a master shared parameter file that could be added to to include a revision letter parameter. Although, when editing the revision schedule in the titleblock it doesn't give the option to add a parameter. Anyone have any ideas?

It looks like 2009 has an Alphabetic option.
