Our office is getting our feet wet in BIM/Revit.
We're hearing from others/clients that they have variations between Revit 2010, 2011, 2012, with various builds/updates installed. Claiming that Revit is not backward compatible, so to work with different clients & professions we need to have half our Workstation bogged down with multiple installations.
This just sounds wrong to me in too many ways, so I thought I would throw it out here...
Any input???

wrong or right, Revit has no backward compatabliity. never has and probably never will. you want to work with different versions, then you must have an install for each version.
