For anyone saying look below at similar threads, I already did that, and I still have no idea how to do any of the stuff. I am a COMPLETE newbie at Revit and I have only used it to design very basic houses with generic B&w walls. All I want to do it make my design look like a log cabin. The walls are my particularly challenging part. The basic wall layout of my hosue is below. How can I use this "sweeps" feature as I have seen on every thread so far? I am using REVIT Arch 2010.

The help files within revit are actually quite detailed and complete.  They'll give you an overview on how to model.

But for starters, go to the "home" tab, and then "Component."  Under Component, select "model in place," because you're not just putting in a chair... you're making something custom.

This will bring up a list of different families, or element types.  You're making logs, so select walls.

Now, you'll want to make a solid form.  Select a sweep.  A sweep has a path, and a profile.  The profile will look like a bunch of conjoined circles stacked 10 feet tall, and the path you'll want to draw in your floorplan, around the exterior if the cabin.   Draw the path first, and then, go to an elevation view that shows the green crosshairs of the path.  Either north or west will suffice.  From the  center of those crosshairs, draw your logs' cut profile, upward.    Click finish!

Sorry about the scan I downloaded this technique many months ago and can no longer find it on the site. Use the sweeps menu to build your wall type. I think it looks pretty good. Hope it is readable.
